Description
This take on Vallotton's 1903 Intérieur avec femme en rouge presents the scene as a painting within a gilt frame: a woman in a scarlet dress leans over a small table, candlelight flaring on a teal wall behind her. The picture-within-a-picture device adds old-master richness. VALLOTTON / INTÉRIEUR AVEC FEMME EN ROUGE / 1903 / Paris France typography anchors the gallery style.
