Tsuchiya Koitsu Evening Temple Bridge in Rain Woodblock Art Poster
A graceful arched bridge spans dark water in the rain, with a temple roof and weeping blossoms beyond. Koitsu’s evening palette of teal and ink blue is pure calm.
Description
This Tsuchiya Koitsu woodblock shows a rain-washed evening at a Japanese temple, where a wooden bridge curves over mirror-still water. Pink blossoms drape beside the temple eaves while a lone figure shelters under the gate. The deep blue-green tones and fine rain lines create a meditative mood. A beautiful choice for lovers of Japanese gardens and rainy-day art.
