This romantic poster takes its cue from Courbet's 1854 The Meeting: a bearded traveler with a heavy pack embraces his companion on a mossy riverbank deep in the forest. The black border is printed with COURBET, 1854 and MONTPELLIER FRANCE. Tender and painterly, it is a lovely French realist-inspired print for a bedroom or reading nook.
