Swissair Far East Yellow Geisha Elephant Vintage Airline Poster
Swissair’s ‘Far East’ poster pairs a geisha in kimono with a decorated elephant on acid yellow. A playful modernist collage of Asia for the jet age.
Description
This Swissair poster advertises Far East routes with a whimsical pairing: a Japanese geisha with fan before an Indian elephant bearing howdah riders. The electric yellow background and cut-paper style are pure 1960s airline art. A colorful collector's piece for Swissair and Asian travel fans.
