Description
This vintage Southern Pacific poster advertises the Shasta Route, running through the Shasta-Cascade wonderland region from Portland to San Francisco. A black steam locomotive rounds the tracks at the foot of snowy Mount Shasta while a shaggy bear watches from the foreground. Bold blue lettering and painterly mountains make it a treasure for railroad and Pacific Northwest collectors.
