Landseer’s 1824 copy of Rubens’s Wolf and Fox Hunt, full of Baroque fury. Dramatic hunting art for bold collectors.
Description
Sir Edwin Landseer's copy of Peter Paul Rubens's Wolf and Fox Hunt (1824) captures the Baroque original's explosive energy: riders, hounds, wolves, and foxes locked in a swirling hunt under a stormy sky. Landseer's youthful study preserves Rubens's drama in rich, painterly color. A powerful statement piece for studies, lodges, and lovers of dramatic classical art.
