Sawamura Kunitaro Kuzunoha Memorial Antique Kabuki Woodblock Poster
A memorial kabuki print shows the actor as Kuzunoha in blue kimono, a sleeping child in her lap. A column of Japanese text honors the performance.
Description
This antique tsuizen memorial woodblock commemorates Sawamura Kunitaro II in the role of Kuzunoha, seated beside chrysanthemums with a child resting in her lap. Long vertical text and artist seals mark it as a true Edo-period style actor print. A rare find for kabuki and ukiyoe collectors.
