Rembrandt the Apostle Paul Writing Classical Baroque Art Print
Rembrandt’s brooding portrait of the bearded Apostle Paul, quill in hand, leaning over his manuscript. Powerful chiaroscuro.
Description
In this Baroque masterwork, an aged Saint Paul pauses with his head resting on his hand, quill poised above an open book, his sword hilt resting beside him. Rembrandt's deep shadows and warm highlights lend the apostle profound gravity and humanity. A dignified piece for studies, libraries and classical interiors.
