Relshys Kumel Vodka Cappiello Red Bearded Cossack Vintage Ad Poster
A Leonetto Cappiello masterpiece for Relshys vodka, dominated by a giant red-bearded Cossack face in a fur hat. Electric color and caricature genius make it one of the great spirit advertisements.
Description
This spectacular vintage poster by Leonetto Cappiello advertises Relshys vodka and its first kumel liqueur. A colossal Cossack head with a flaming red beard and tall fur hat fills the dark blue sheet, the face reduced to sly, knowing features beneath the famous yellow script. A landmark of early twentieth-century advertising art, it is a must for collectors of Cappiello, vodka memorabilia, and bold graphic design.
