Ramon Casas Decadent Young Woman Reading On Green Sofa Poster
Ramon Casas’s Decadent Young Woman: a red-haired beauty in black sprawled across a green sofa with a book. Elegant melancholy, pure modernisme.
Description
This celebrated Ramon Casas painting portrays a young woman in a flowing black dress lying languidly across a green sofa, a yellow book slipping from her hand. The muted greens and soft realism of Catalan modernisme create a mood of refined, dreamy boredom. A sophisticated piece for bedrooms and salons, and a lovely gift for lovers of fin-de-siecle art.
