Ohara Koson White Egrets Huddled in Night Snow Japanese Poster
A group of white egrets huddles together in falling night snow in this 1927 Japanese woodblock print by Ohara Koson. Stark, quiet, and deeply atmospheric.
Description
This winter kacho-e print shows egrets pressed close beneath a flurry of white snowflakes against a deep blue-grey night sky. Their pale plumage glows against the dark, making the scene almost luminous. A dramatic seasonal piece for winter decor and minimalist interiors.
