Ohara Koson Rooster Striking at Weasel in Grass Japanese Poster
A fierce rooster with flared black and gold plumage dives toward a startled weasel in tall grass in this dramatic circa 1930s Japanese woodblock print.
Description
Ohara Koson freezes a moment of wild action: the rooster plunges from above, wings spread, while the weasel recoils among green rice-like shoots. Bold ink and vivid color give the scene theatrical energy. A powerful statement print for collectors of dynamic Japanese art.
