Ohara Koson Peacock Pair on Blossom Branch Shinhanga Japanese Poster
Two emerald-green peacocks with eye-spotted tails perch on a blossoming branch in this early 1900s Japanese woodblock print. The warm gold ground and red artist seal give it a rich gallery feel.
Description
Ohara Koson's kacho-e bird-and-flower print shows a peacock and peahen resting on a flowering branch, each feather and eye-spot rendered in deep green, blue, and orange. A soft golden background and delicate blossoms frame the pair in classic shinhanga style. Printed with fine detail and a red seal, it suits bedrooms, living rooms, and nature-themed walls.
