The five-storied pagoda of Ueno Park rises among bare winter trees in Noel Nouet’s elegant 1936 line-art print. A refined Tokyo keepsake.
Description
French artist Noel Nouet lived in Tokyo and captured its landmarks with a draftsman's eye; this 1936 print shows the vermilion five-storied pagoda of Ueno Park framed by leafless trees. Printed in soft reds and ink-black linework, it feels both vintage and timeless. A beautiful piece for lovers of Tokyo, Japanese architecture and classic travel art.
