Male and Female Pheasants Beisen Kubota Japanese Woodblock Poster
A proud male pheasant and his mottled mate star in this Kubota Beisen bird study. Bold ink work with elegant detail.
Description
This striking print pairs a dark green male pheasant with a softly speckled female, both drawn with confident sweeping brushstrokes. Kubota Beisen's ink technique captures the iridescence of the male's plumage against the cream ground. Japanese calligraphy and a red seal complete the composition. A distinguished piece for bird art collectors.
