Leighton Flaming June Sleeping Woman in Orange Drapery Poster
Lord Leighton’s Flaming June: a woman draped in translucent orange sleeps curled on a marble ledge. An unforgettable classic.
Description
Painted in 1895, Flaming June is one of the most famous images of sleep and summer heat ever painted — swathes of saffron silk folding over a peacefully slumbering figure. This academic masterpiece glows in person and suits traditional, romantic, or gallery-style rooms.
