Le Puy En Velay Paris Lyon Mediterranee Vintage Travel Poster
The Paris-Lyon-Mediterranee railway promotes Le Puy and the Velay with a collage of cathedrals, gates, and the famous volcanic rock town. Rich with local detail.
Description
Issued by the Syndicat d'Initiative du Velay, this poster gathers Le Puy's landmarks – the cathedral, the Porte Pannessac, La Chaise-Dieu, La Roche-Lambert, and Yssingeaux – around a central view of the town beneath its volcanic rocks. A pine branch ties the vignettes together in period collage style. A wonderful piece for collectors of French regional art.
