Kyoto Imperial Palace Snowy Pines Eiichi Kotozuka Woodblock Poster
Fresh snow blankets the pines and walls of Kyoto’s former Imperial Palace. Eiichi Kotozuka captures a hushed winter morning.
Description
This serene woodblock shows the Kyoto Imperial Palace grounds after snowfall, with snow laden pines framing the long palace walls. Two tiny figures walk the white path beneath a pale winter sky. Kotozuka's restrained palette of white, gray and soft blue creates deep calm. An elegant historical scene for refined interiors.
