Kiyoshi Ikezumi Japanese Castle With Whimsical Figure Poster
A towering Japanese castle rises in bold black, white, and ochre blocks in this 1930 woodblock print by Kiyoshi Ikezumi, with a floating whimsical figure overhead.
Description
Kiyoshi Ikezumi renders a grand tiered castle as a patchwork of roofs, stone walls, and tiny windows, crowned by a comical floating figure. The folk-modernist style turns a historic landmark into pure graphic fun. A striking piece for travel-themed and modern Japanese interiors.
