Kawase Hasui Snow at Zojoji Temple Red Pagoda Winter Woodblock Poster
Kawase Hasui’s ‘Snow at Zojoji’ shows the red temple glowing against falling snow. A figure with a paper umbrella crosses the white courtyard.
Description
This beloved Hasui winter print sets the crimson buildings of Zojoji Temple against a storm of white snowflakes. Snow-laden pines frame the scene while a lone walker braves the weather. The bold red-and-white contrast makes it one of the most striking shin-hanga snow scenes. A perfect seasonal piece for winter and holiday decor.
