Kawase Hasui Snow At Zojoji Temple Figure With Umbrella Poster
A figure with a paper umbrella hurries past the red gate of Zojoji Temple in falling snow. Kawase Hasui signs this beloved winter scene.
Description
Kawase Hasui's Snow at Zojoji Temple is one of the great winter images of shin-hanga printmaking. Snow-laden pines frame the deep red Sanmon gate while a lone traveler with an umbrella crosses the white courtyard. Soft grays and rich reds create a hushed, dreamlike mood. A classic Japanese winter print for collectors and calm interiors.
