Kawase Hasui Kotsuki River Moon 1930s Night Bridge Water Art Poster
A bright moon hangs over a stone bridge reflected in the Kotsuki River. Hasui’s 1930s night scene is cool blue poetry in woodblock form.
Description
This 1930s Kawase Hasui print from his Scenes from Japan series shows the Kotsuki River at night with a full moon behind bare branches. A multi-arched stone bridge glows softly over mirror-still water with a distant peak beyond. An elegant Japanese moonlit river scene.
