Kawase Hasui Inokashira Snowy Temple Island 1928 Woodblock Poster
Snow blankets Inokashira’s temple island as a lone figure crosses with an umbrella. Stillness fills this 1928 winter print.
Description
Kawase Hasui renders the temple on its lake islet in deep snow with blue water lapping the edges. Falling snow softens every roofline and pine. A beautiful winter piece for lovers of Japanese snow scenes.
