Castle walls and a wooden bridge mirror perfectly in Kumamoto’s still moat. Hasui’s 1930s procession bridge view is a study in reflections.
Description
This 1930s Kawase Hasui woodblock print shows the Imperial Procession Bridge at Kumamoto Castle with stone ramparts reflected in the glassy moat. Lush trees and a distant mountain complete the scene under soft sunset tones. An elegant Japanese castle reflection print.
