Kawase Hasui Hikawa Park Omiya Tall Pines 1935 Woodblock Poster
Towering pines catch russet light against a deep blue sky in Hikawa Park. A bold 1935 study of trees.
Description
Hasui's 1935 print fills the frame with pine trunks rising into autumn-tinted crowns. The graphic contrast of orange and blue is pure shin-hanga drama. A striking botanical statement piece.
