Kawase Hasui Evening Lumber Yards Kiba 1920 Old Canal Poster
Dusk falls over the lumber yards of Kiba with timber rafts on the water. Lanterns begin to glow.
Description
From 1920, this evening print captures Tokyo's timber district under a fading pink sky. A bridge spans the canal as poles and rooftops turn to silhouette. A rare urban-industrial Hasui scene.
