Katsushika Hokusai Yoro Falls Mino Travelers Woodblock Poster
The Yoro Falls plunge between green cliffs while travelers rest by a straw hut. Hokusai signs this print from his waterfall series.
Description
From Hokusai's Tour of the Waterfalls in Various Provinces, this print shows the Yoro Falls in Mino cascading down sheer rock between pine-covered cliffs. Two travelers with a straw shelter pause at its base while the cartouche names Mino Yoro. Bold blue water and rugged green cliffs create pure drama. A powerful Japanese landscape print.
