Kasuga Shrine in Nara Rain Scene Kawase Hasui 1933 Art Poster
Two women shelter under one umbrella before Kasuga Shrine’s red pavilions in soft rain. Hasui’s 1933 Nara scene is tender and timeless.
Description
From Kawase Hasui's 'Scenic Views of Japan' series, this 1933 print shows Kasuga Shrine in Nara glowing vermilion through gentle rain, stone lanterns lining the approach. Two figures share an umbrella in the foreground, adding warmth to the misty greens. The rain gives everything a soft sheen. A gentle atmospheric piece for shrine art collectors and rainy-day romantics.
