Hokusai Mount Fuji Inume Pass Travelers Mountain Path Woodblock Poster
From Hokusai’s Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: travelers and packhorses cross the Inume Pass with the great snowcapped peak rising beyond. A classic blue-and-green landscape.
Description
This woodblock print from Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji shows the Inume Pass in Kai Province, where travelers and laden horses make their way along a mountain path. Mt. Fuji dominates the scene in deep Prussian blue against a pale sky, framed by green hillsides and pine trees. The composition's calm grandeur suits living rooms, hallways, and offices. A must for Mount Fuji collectors and anyone building a Japanese landscape gallery wall.
