A naive-style scene of a nude woman beside a bear on a riverbank at dusk, painted with Rousseau-like innocence. Strange, poetic, unforgettable.
Description
Painted in Henri Rousseau's unmistakable naive manner, this dreamlike scene shows a standing nude woman with her hands to her face beside a seated bear on a rocky riverbank, with a distant hunter beyond. Flat perspective and rich greens lend it fairy-tale mystery. A fascinating piece for eclectic walls and a unique gift for lovers of naive and folk art.
