Great Buddha at Kamakura Daibutsu Kawase Hasui Japanese Art Poster
Kamakura’s Great Buddha sits in serene meditation beneath tall pines. Hasui’s 1930 print radiates peace and quiet grandeur.
Description
Kawase Hasui's 1930 'Great Buddha at Kamakura' shows the monumental bronze Daibutsu at rest, tiny visitors at its base and wind-shaped pines overhead. The deep blue-green palette gives the sacred figure a calm monumental presence. Sunlight breaks gently through the clouds. A contemplative piece for meditation spaces and lovers of Buddhist art.
