Filey Travel Poster, Yorkshire England Poster Print
A vintage travel poster of Filey, Yorkshire, rendered in the classic style of mid-century British seaside art.
Description
Filey on the Yorkshire coast is handled in the flat color and assured letterforms of a vintage travel poster. The illustration captures the seaside town in simplified form, the way mid-century posters simplified landscape into pure graphic shape.
Hallways and stair walls suit travel posters best, especially hung in a series with other British destinations. It also works in an office, a study, or a mudroom where maps and travel memories gather naturally.
People who have visited Filey, Yorkshire enthusiasts, and collectors of British travel art are the audience. Give it as a souvenir after a trip, or as the first piece in a growing collection of vintage seaside posters.
