Family Night On The Island, Post-Impressionism Poster
Boats resting on a lake beneath an island night sky, painted in an expressive post-impressionist style.
Description
Boats sit out on a lake beside an island in this post-impressionist night scene, painted after a sunset that still colors the sky. The starry treatment above the water gives the picture its rhythm, and the brushwork keeps everything loose and warm. It reads as a family evening at the end of a summer day.
The scene suits a dining room, a lake house living room, or a bedroom that needs something restful. It hangs well over a sideboard and works alongside other water and sky prints.
Boaters, island travelers, and post-impressionist admirers are the natural buyers. It makes a fitting gift for parents who take the family to the water every summer, or for a friend who just bought a place near a lake.
