Deesse Paris Bicycle Goddess Eiffel Tower Vintage Cycling Poster
DÉESSE of 16 Rue Halévy, Paris, headlines this dramatic poster showing a goddess in flowing robes lifting a bicycle high above a Paris crowd. The Eiffel Tower marks the skyline at sunset.
Description
This vintage French poster advertises Déesse bicycles from their Paris address, with a radiant female figure hoisting a bicycle toward a golden-orange sky. Below her, a dense crowd of onlookers with their own bicycles fills the street, and the Eiffel Tower stands tiny on the horizon. It is a spectacular, theatrical example of Belle Époque bicycle advertising.
