Cette Bains de Mer PLM Reine des Plages Vintage Seaside Poster
Cette, Reine des Plages de la Mediterranee, shines in this PLM railway poster with a fish seller, sailboats and the lively beach. A gem of French seaside advertising.
Description
Published for the Chemins de Fer de Paris, Lyon, Mediterranee, this poster celebrates Cette as the Queen of Mediterranean beaches. A fishwife with her catch anchors the foreground while sailboats crowd the bay. Reduced-price tickets made it both an ad and an invitation, a lovely piece of Mediterranean travel art.
