Blue Lobster Crayfish 1892 Antique Natural History Illustration Poster
An 1892 hand-colored natural history plate: a deep-blue lobster-crayfish rearing up with great claws and long red antennae on a cream ground.
Description
The armored body is dappled navy and gold, claws raised in a heraldic pose — a dramatic crustacean study with striking color contrast. A bold kitchen, seafood or marine-decor statement piece from 19th-century science illustration.
