Besancon France Old Street View Citadel Hill Painted Travel Poster
An expressive street-level view in Besançon, old houses lining the road that climbs toward the hilltop citadel. A painter’s France.
Description
Bold strokes of violet, ochre, and teal capture the steep old street with the fortress watching from the green hill above. The loose impressionist handling gives the scene wonderful movement. An artful city print for Francophiles.
