Baindt Abbey Under Eye of Providence 1773 German Religious Painting Poster
A haunting 1773 Bavarian abbey watched over by the glowing Eye of God. Dark, symbolic folk art with an old German inscription.
Description
This remarkable 1773 painting shows Baindt Abbey from above beneath a radiant Eye of Providence set in a golden triangle, surrounded by old German script and rays of light piercing a dark sky. Its naive, mystical character appeals to collectors of folk art, religious symbolism, and dark academia aesthetics. A truly unusual conversation piece.
