Baindt Abbey 1773 Eye of God Triangle Antique Symbolist Painting Print
The all-seeing Eye of God hovers over Baindt Abbey in this strange, beautiful 1773 painting. Rare antique religious imagery.
Description
Dated 1773 and inscribed in period German script, this Swabian devotional painting pairs an aerial view of Baindt Abbey with the radiant Eye of God in a triangle above it. Dark, crackled, and deeply atmospheric, it is a gem for collectors of esoteric, symbolic, and historic religious art.
