A Burial at Ornans Hillside Mourners Crowd 1850 Courbet Poster
A hillside crowd of mourners around a coffin, honoring Courbet’s great Burial at Ornans as a poster.
Description
A sweeping crowd scene in the spirit of Courbet's A Burial at Ornans: dozens of dark-clad mourners gather around a coffin on a windswept hillside above the town. The black border carries COURBET, 1850 and ORNANS FRANCE. Epic in scale and somber in mood, it is a commanding piece of French realist wall art.
