1954 Peace Race Wyścig Pokoju Vintage Cycling Poster Warsaw Berlin
1954 poster for the seventh Peace Race, the famous Warsaw to Berlin to Prague stage cycling race.
Description
This poster celebrates the seventh edition of the Peace Race, the great stage race run from Warsaw to Berlin to Prague in May 1954, backed by the newspapers Trybuna Ludu, Neues Deutschland, and Rudé Právo. Two riders sprint past flags and crowds in strong socialist-realist style. A striking piece of cycling and Cold War history for sports poster collectors.
