Ludwig Van Beethoven Portrait With Missa Solemnis Manuscript 1820 Poster
Joseph Karl Stieler’s famous 1820 portrait of Ludwig van Beethoven holding his Missa Solemnis manuscript. The definitive image of the composer.
Description
Stieler's 1820 portrait is the best-known image of Ludwig van Beethoven – the brooding composer, pen in hand, holding the manuscript of his Missa Solemnis against a dark forest backdrop. Its rich blacks, white collar, and crimson scarf give it quiet drama. Essential decor for a music room or study, and a perfect gift for classical musicians.
