Coral Snake and Cobra 1892 Antique Reptile Lithograph Poster
An 1892 antique reptile plate of a banded coral snake and a rearing cobra, hand-coloured in fine detail.
Description
From the 1892 natural history plates after Charles Dessalines d'Orbigny, this antique lithograph shows a banded coral snake (captioned Elaps corallinus) above a rearing cobra (Naja haje) with pyramids in the background. Fine hand colouring captures every scale. A dramatic piece of Victorian reptile art.
