A shrouded body on its bier before an immense crowd of mourners in mist, as a Courbet poster.
Description
This vast, misty panorama reimagines A Burial at Ornans: a shrouded body rests on a wooden bier while an immense crowd of dark-clad mourners stretches to the horizon. The black border is printed with COURBET, 1850 and ORNANS FRANCE. Overwhelming in scale and deeply moving – a monumental fine-art print.
