A Burial at Ornans Mourners at the Open Grave 1850 Courbet Poster
Grieving mourners gathered around an open grave, a raw reimagining of Courbet’s Burial at Ornans.
Description
This emotional poster reimagines A Burial at Ornans at the graveside itself: mourners in dark dress press close around the open grave, hands joined in grief. The black border is printed with COURBET, 1850 and ORNANS FRANCE. Intimate and heart-wrenching, a powerful French realist-inspired print.
