Hiroshige Suwa Pass Travelers With Mount Fuji Lake View Poster
Travelers descend a steep green path above Lake Suwa with Mount Fuji glowing on the horizon. A line of birds crosses the dawn sky in this Hiroshige print.
Description
From Hiroshige's Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, this print follows pilgrims down the mountain pass in Shinano toward the shining water of Lake Suwa. Layered green ridges frame Fuji's snowcap under a rising sun. The red cartouche names the Suwa Pass in Shinano Province. A breathtaking mountain landscape with classic ukiyo-e color.
