Matsuya Shoten Japanese Liquor Store Retro Matchbox Label Art Poster
A Japanese liquor-store label for Matsuya Shoten, with a red banner, sake bottle and cask on navy.
Description
This reproduction of a vintage Japanese matchbox label advertises Matsuya Shoten, a liquor store selling sake, soy sauce and daily goods. The diagonal red banner with white calligraphy over navy, plus the straw-wrapped sake cask, gives it classic Showa-era commercial charm. A bold piece for bar areas and collectors of Japanese advertising art.
