Glory to October Soviet 1917 1977 Hydro Dam Matchbox Art Poster
A 1977 Soviet matchbox label marking 60 years since the October Revolution, with a hydroelectric dam in bold red and gold. A genuine piece of propaganda-era graphic design.
Description
Printed on the original label is the slogan Slava Oktyabryu, Glory to October, flanked by the years 1917 and 1977. White power lines and a dam rise from a deep red field framed in gold, with stars at each corner. It is a striking conversation piece for collectors of Soviet design and industrial art.
