Alcyon Legere Rapide Sillonne Le Monde French Vintage Bicycle Poster
A French Alcyon bicycle advertisement with a woman soaring on winged wheels through a blaze of yellow light. Elegant and dramatic, this is a classic of early cycle advertising art.
Description
The copy reads 'Legere, Rapide – Alcyon sillonne le monde' (light, fast – Alcyon crosses the world), paired with a striking winged-bicycle image. The fluid drapery and radiant halo of light give this French ad a poetic, almost mythic feel. A handsome choice for cycling fans and lovers of belle epoque poster design.
