Highland Games Bagpiper British Railways Vintage Travel Poster
A vintage British Railways poster advertising the Highland Games at Braemar, with a kilted bagpiper in full Highland dress standing before a banner bearing the red Scottish lion.
Description
Printed with the slogan Travel by Rail, this mid-century poster promotes the Royal Highland Gathering at Braemar. The piper wears a bearskin cap, tartan kilt and white sporran while crowds fill the games field behind him. Bold reds and greens give it the rich look of classic Scottish railway advertising.
